Private Sessions
“I have been working privately with Linda for over 2 years. Each session is customized to my needs using a mixture of modalities. Her understanding of the body is outstanding.”
Private sessions begin with a one-hour assessment session, including completing an on-boarding profile for background information. The next step is to move, stand, and walk. Under my watchful eye, you will stretch and move while I ask YOU how it feels and where you may sense any tightness or pain.
The final step of the assessment is to discuss my baseline observations. Next, there is a discussion about your goals for pain reduction on your journey to thriving again.
Improvement is a process of trying varying patterns of different movement techniques, yoga, and meditation (for stress relief). Each week, some of the movements are the same, and some are different. YOU will be skillfully guided in certain poses and exercises, assessing each step.
The movement techniques are based on science. I provide not only the combination of techniques tailored to your needs but also ‘why’ they are essential and ‘how’ to enable them to help avoid future problems.
Guiding YOU to understand the relationship between pain and lack of movement is part of the improvement process so that YOU make better decisions in your daily life.
Take the first step to orchestrate YOUR improvement on your personal wellness journey by aspiring to go from Good-to-Better-to-Best.
Meditation
Turn Down the Volume on Your Pain
If you’ve ever thought to yourself:
When will the pain stop?
What if I don’t improve?
How will I cope?
How will I live an active life if I can’t move more freely?
I am here to help relieve your worry and get you back to moving more freely with less pain.
“Whenever I get stressed, I remember the techniques Linda taught us during meditation class. These techniques help me stay calm and help me get thru the situation.”
Sometimes, moving hurts, but so does doing nothing. The pain cannot be ignored. You just want the pain to stop!
When you experience chronic aches and pains, you will do almost anything to relieve the pain. Even a pill from the pain reliever bottle is only temporary relief, at best.
Did you know there is a connection between chronic pain and stress?
When the pain increases, so does the stress.
The reverse is also true. As your stress increases, so does muscle tightness causing more pain. Often, chronic pain in your back, shoulders, and neck is causing the surrounding muscles to be tight. Before long, your activities start to become self-limiting.
There is another way, a simple technique, to feel better.
‘Mindful meditation’ is a useful tool to help ease pain and reduce stress.
‘Mindfulness’ soothes the circuits that amplify the pain.
Stress triggers the release of stress hormones, which cause inflammation in your body, and increases the pain in the joints that are probably already irritated.
‘Meditation’ refocuses your attention away from the discomfort to a calm and quiet state.
Then the brain releases a natural pain reliever, called endorphins, that relax the muscles and joints. The mind also becomes more peaceful, and many will feel less pain.
Meditation can also help your mind to shift away from the negative and into a positive state.
Your body and mind receive the benefits even if you feel it’s not working. It’s a practice where the more you practice, the better you become at focusing and relaxing.
With ‘expert guidance,’ you can learn to use meditation to reduce your chronic pain, function better, and get back to a better lifestyle.
Meditation, in conjunction with a ‘movement’ practice, will often help reduce your chronic pain so that you can begin to live a more active lifestyle. Here, you can experience the benefit of either an in-person session or an online session.
What to expect in a meditation session:
With either session type, you will rest comfortably on a mat or in a chair as you are guided through a meditation. You will release the clutter from your mind, and the tension and stress from your body, thereby acting to improve your chronic pain.
The benefits of this particular program are:
- It is a highly effective, yet simple, way to reduce stress
- The muscles relax allowing the body to function on an optimal level
- It renews your energy for a more active lifestyle
Your ‘Mindfulness meditation’ can either be a stand-alone session or an add-on to a movement session.
Adding meditation to your service can have substantial benefits.

“It feels great to be inspired to move all these old joints and keep them limber.”
“All seniors should attend our balance class. The movements are beneficial for the entire body – for posture, for balance and to help prevent falls. Plus, we have fun.”
“I get so much out of Linda’s yoga class. In fact, I get more benefit out of Linda’s class than I get from going to the physical therapist. Linda is very knowledgeable.”
